How do you put the backing on a knitted blanket?

The backing should be a few inches larger than the knitted blanket. Place it right side down on the floor. I then tape it down on the floor to make it lay flatter. Just using sellotape around the edge, I taped the middles, then the corners and then along the edge and it smoothed it out.

How do you edge a knitted blanket with fabric?

Hand sew the fabric to the back of the blanket using a ladder stitch. Repeat for all the four sides, leaving the pointy corners loose. Remembering to pin out your knitted edge to stabilise it. Once you have all four edges on the corners will still be loose and moving around.

How do I make a simple quilt backing?

Instead of cutting two separate pieces of fabric and sewing them together, you cut one long piece, fold it together and then sew right down one side. You then cut off the little fold line and open the fabric up and you’ve got a quilt back. It’s very easy.

Is there a machine that crochets?

Crochet machines do not exist that can replicate handmade crocheted items because they are incapable of creating the transverse chains that are a definitive attribute of hand crochet. Since a machine that can replicate handmade crochet has not been invented, all crochet items are handmade.
